Utility Management

Sterling Utility Management is an Energy Advisory and Consulting Firm that focuses on utility cost reduction and recovery of assets for our clients. We accomplish this through a detailed and extensive utility audit. We identify overcharges in tariff or improper rate and tax classifications. Utility providers are consistently making these errors, which lead to overcharges. This dynamic is something that is overlooked by most organizations, and that’s one of the many ways we provide value.

LET US WORK FOR YOU

We will target your Electric, Natural Gas, Water, Sewer, and Steam invoices. In most cases our audit will go back 3–5 years depending on your facility location and industry type.

Our value proposition is simply this: we work strictly on contingency. We don’t get paid unless we recover money for you. Sterling Utility Management solutions has recovered over $250 Million for our clients since 2009. Let us get to work for you!

COMMON QUESTIONS

Over 70% of the utility invoice audits performed by Sterling Utility Management have contained at least some overcharges and errors.

No, our services are performed on a contingency fee basis. The audit is performed free of cost; all we ask is that we receive a percentage of any of the refunds or credits we secure on your behalf and payable only upon your receipt. If we do not secure any refunds or credits, there is no charge for the audit and you get the satisfaction of knowing your utility charges are accurate.

Most states impose a statute of limitations. Therefore, every month and every year that passes is a loss of any potential refunds that may have been due.

Sterling Utility Management brings over 30+ years of experience in the industry. Many of today’s auditing companies are web-based “virtual offices” offering similar services. At Sterling Utility Management we have a full regulatory staff, utility auditors, accountants, and engineers working on our clients’ accounts using our proprietary auditing software to secure the largest potential refund for our clients.
